The golf course was designed and built by Peter Matkovich in 2003. The brief given to the architect was to design a course that is playable for all levels of golfers, yet challenging for professional golfers. It is intended to be user-friendly, enjoyable to play and memorable. The course is an excellent example of a Bushveld layout with wide fairways lined with indigenous grasses and a variety of Bushveld trees. The routing of the course is excellent and every hole is isolated with no interference from players on any other holes. The housing on the estate is set well back from the course and never comes into play. The distance between greens and tees is short on every hole. The course is built on level ground and is easy to walk.
